специалист по греческой палеографии и византийским рукописям.
Окончила филологический факультет МГУ в 1972 г. Выпускная работа "Кодекс Либания из собрания ГИМ".
В 1978-1983 гг. обучалась в аспирантуре Института славяноведения и балканистики АН СССР. Ученица Б.Л. Фонкича.
В 1983 г. защитила диссертацию кандидата исторических наук "Книгописные мастерские Константинополя IХ-ХI веков" (ЛГУ).
В 1998 г. переехала в США и работает как независимый исследователь.
Опубликовала множество статей в научных журналах. Она является автором каталогов греческих рукописей в американских коллекциях, включая коллекции Брауновского, Колумбийского и Гарвардского университетов, Мичиганского университета, Дамбартон-Окс и Библиотеки-музея Моргана.
Проживает в Гленмонте, штат Нью-Йорк, и Вашингтоне, округ Колумбия.
